How to Master CELPIP Speaking Task 4: Making Predictions
This task is the direct follow-up to Task 3. You will look at the exact same illustration you just described, but now you must make a logical prediction about what you think will happen next.
What You Will Do
- You will have 30 seconds to prepare.
- You will only have 60 seconds to record your prediction.
The #1 Trap to Avoid
The biggest mistake is making a "crazy" prediction that has no evidence in the picture (e.g., "A UFO will land in the park"). The second mistake is just describing the picture again. The grader already heard you do that in Task 3. You must use future-tense language and talk about what will happen.

Final Tips
- Use Future Tense: These are your magic words. "He is going to...", "They will probably...", "It's likely that...", "I predict that..."
- Be a Detective: You are not being creative. You are using evidence from the picture to make a logical guess.
